The cheapest CN Tower tickets on GetYourGuide cost $37.56 for the Main and Lower Observation Levels, rated 4.76 from 21 reviews. The most reviewed option is See Sight’s night driving tour with entry, at 4.66 from 643 reviews and $98.29. The tower is 553.3 m tall, according to Wikidata, and its highest deck sits at about 447 m. I’d go in the hour before sunset.
I compared all six CN Tower tickets and tours that GetYourGuide sells for this landmark, so these are all the CN Tower tickets you can book through this page. Four put you inside the tower, one is a tour that only passes it, and one is a flight past it. The numbers below come from Wikidata, Wikipedia and Open-Meteo, so you can check each one.
When people search for CN Tower observation deck tickets, they usually want one thing: a slot that gets them to the top without any extras. The plain CN Tower ticket in a later section is the one I’d start with, but the tour in this section is the one with the most reviews. See Sight Tours runs the Premium Night Driving Tour with CN Tower Entry, a 3-hour small group trip rated 4.66 from 643 reviews at $98.29.
It is a tour that includes entry, not a ticket alone. The price covers admission to the tower, hotel pickup and drop-off, a guided drive through downtown Toronto and a guided visit to the Distillery District. The stops also include Nathan Phillips Square and the Entertainment District. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before, as with all the CN Tower tickets here.

My pick: My pick if you want the tower after dark with a driver and a guide, so you don't have to arrange the evening yourself.
The difference from a plain ticket is the $60.73 you pay on top of the $37.56 entry. For that you get the night itinerary and the transport, and you give up the freedom to choose your own time on the deck. If you only care about the view, skip it.
CN Tower Entry Tickets
CN Tower entry tickets come in two shapes on GetYourGuide, a bare ticket and a walking tour that ends at the tower. The second shape is See Sight’s Small Group Tour with CN Tower Entry, a 1.5-hour walk that costs $70.01 and holds a 4.61 rating from 185 reviews. It starts near the entrance to St. Lawrence Market and passes the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Fairmont Royal York and Union Station before the tower. The listing says the admission is included in the price.

My pick: Best for a first morning in Toronto: a short guided walk that finishes with the tower already paid for.
One reviewer wrote that a rainy day turned into a wonderful underground adventure, which says something about how the walk copes with bad weather. Another mentioned the glass floor in these words:
“CN tower was amazing, walking on the glass floor is a strange experience.”
If you already know the city and just want to go up, the plain CN Tower ticket in the next section is $32.45 cheaper.
CN Tower Skip-the-Line Tickets
Of all the CN Tower tickets here, this is the plain one, and it is my default recommendation. The official CN Tower Ticket to Main and Lower Observation Levels costs $37.56 and is the lowest price in the whole list. It is rated 4.76 from only 21 reviews, so treat the score as promising, not proven. The operator is listed as the CN Tower itself.
The listing says it includes access to the Main and Lower Observation Levels, the Glass Floor, the Outdoor Terrace and fast track entry. It also lists the extra elevator to The Top, free Wi-Fi, and food and beverages from VUE Bistro. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours ahead, and the 1.5 hours listed is plenty.

My pick: The one I'd buy for a first visit: lowest price, official operator, fast track entry and The Top listed.
The skip-the-line part needs a caveat. You still go through the Main Entrance and show your ticket at your booked time. A reviewer wrote that they arrived an hour early and had to wait even though it was quiet. The ticket does not let you walk in whenever you like, so book the slot you really want.
CN Tower Tickets Toronto
Searches for CN Tower tickets Toronto are by far the biggest group of buyers, at roughly 89,790 searches a month in my keyword data. Almost all of them want the standard CN Tower ticket from the previous section. The product in this section is the most unusual of the CN Tower tickets on the page: a Private Skyline Flight to the CN Tower from ZOOMY TRAVEL.
It is a 45-minute private sightseeing flight in a Cessna 172 with a licensed pilot, for up to three passengers, and it costs $1,249 for the aircraft. It doesn’t take you into the tower. You meet the pilot at Burlington Executive Airport, which the listing says is about 45 minutes from downtown Toronto by car, and the tower is the landmark you fly past. The listing has no ratings yet, so I can’t tell you how it compares with the others.

My pick: A splurge for a group of up to three who want the skyline from the air. It is not a way into the tower, and it has no reviews yet.
If your group is three people, that works out to about $416 each, which is eleven times the standard ticket. I’d treat it as a special-occasion extra after your CN Tower tickets are booked, not a replacement for it.
CN Tower Restaurant
The 360 Restaurant turns up in more searches than almost anything else about the tower, around 26,030 a month. Per Wikipedia, it is a revolving restaurant that completes a full rotation every 72 minutes, at 351 m up. That is five metres above the Main Observation Level, so you get the same view as the deck, only seated.
GetYourGuide doesn’t sell a restaurant booking, so there is no card here, and I don’t have menu prices to quote. The restaurant has its own reservation page on the official CN Tower site. The only meal-related items in my data are the VUE Bistro food and beverages on the standard ticket and the meal in option 1 of the walking tour with cruise options. I can’t confirm the dress code from the sources I use, so check the official site before you book a table.
CN Tower Height
The tower is 553.3 m (1,815.3 ft) tall, per Wikipedia. It was completed in 1976, with John Andrews listed as architect, and it held the record for the world’s tallest free-standing structure for 32 years, until the Burj Khalifa passed it in 2007.
The visitor decks are lower than the full height, and that is what matters for your ticket. The Glass Floor is at 342 m, the Main Observation Level at 346 m, and The Top at about 446.5 m, just under the antenna. The staircase has 1,776 steps to the main deck and 2,579 to The Top, and it is closed to the public except for two charity climbs a year.
CN Tower EdgeWalk
EdgeWalk is the hands-free walk around the outside of the main pod, and it is the most thrilling of all the tickets for the CN Tower. Wikipedia describes it as the world’s highest full-circle, hands-free walk, on a 1.5 m wide metal floor at 356 m. The listing here is the CN Tower EdgeWalk Adventure Experience at $159.01, rated 5.0 from 17 reviews, so the score rests on a very small sample.
The price includes a safety briefing and equipment, a guide, a video and two printed photos, a certificate, and admission to all observation levels plus The Top. You need to arrive 30 minutes early and go straight to the Main Entrance. Duration is listed as 1.5 hours.

My pick: Add-on for people who want more than a view: it costs $121.45 more than the standard ticket and the entry is already included.
Per Wikipedia, the attraction is closed in winter and during electrical storms and high winds. It is mid-October as I write this, so check the dates on the listing before you commit, because the season might be over.
CN Tower Tickets Online
Buying CN Tower tickets online is the sensible route for anyone who wants a particular entry time. The GetYourGuide listings put you in a booked slot, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. All six listings I checked have that policy, so cancellation terms won’t separate these CN Tower tickets.
There is no extra card here, because every product already appears elsewhere on the page. Choosing between CN Tower tickets online comes down to three questions. Do you want a guide? If not, the $37.56 ticket wins. Do you want to be outside? Then it is EdgeWalk. Are you short on time? The 1.5-hour small group walk bundles the tower with the old town for $70.01.
CN Tower Tickets Price
All six CN Tower tickets and tours are priced in US dollars on GetYourGuide, and they run from $37.56 to $1,249. The realistic range for CN Tower tickets is $37.56 for entry, $70.01 to $98.29 for tours that include it, and $159.01 for EdgeWalk. The product in this section is one I’d call a leftover, not a pick. It is the Guided Walking Tour with CN Tower and Cruise Options by JoyaTrip LTD, a 4-hour walk from St. Lawrence Market from $134.62, with a private option available. It has no reviews yet, so there is no rating to go on. The inclusions vary by option: option 1 adds CN Tower admission, a harbour cruise ticket and a meal, while options 2 and 3 show the tower from the outside only.
JoyaTrip LTD
Guided Walking Tour with CN Tower & Cruise Options

My pick: A long day with a cruise and lunch options, but unrated, and it only includes tower entry in option 1. For the tower alone, the $37.56 ticket is much better value.
Google Maps lists the CN Tower as open from 9 AM to 9:30 PM every day of the week. That is the schedule as Google shows it today. Holiday and event closures can differ, so check before you buy CN Tower tickets, and the official site is the place to check before a trip, since I can’t see tomorrow’s schedule from my data.
In practice, the time on your CN Tower ticket sets your entry, and the sun decides how it feels. In June the sun sets at 21:01, so a late slot gives you only about half an hour of dusk before closing. In December it sets at 16:41, which leaves nearly five hours of night views before 9:30 PM. Winter is the best season for a night visit, even if the cloud cover is higher.
CN Tower vs Space Needle
These two get compared a lot, around 1,020 searches a month. The CN Tower is 553.3 m tall, against 184 m (605 ft) for the Seattle tower, according to Wikipedia, which puts the Space Needle’s deck 160 m above ground. The CN Tower’s Main Observation Level is at 346 m, more than twice that.
Height isn’t everything. The Space Needle looks out at Mount Rainier and Puget Sound, and Toronto gives you Lake Ontario, a horizon of about 75 km and a glass floor. There is no Space Needle page on this site yet, so I won’t quote its ticket prices here, only the CN Tower tickets I have data for.
Best Time to Visit CN Tower
The view from your CN Tower tickets depends on the sky more than on the month. Open-Meteo’s 2025 data for the tower shows September as the clearest month, with 39% average cloud cover, followed by August at 40% and October at 44%. February is the cloudiest at 82%, and December is next at 81%.
Sunset ranges from 16:41 in December to 21:01 in June. Whichever of the CN Tower tickets you pick, I’d arrive 45 to 60 minutes before sunset, which gives you daylight, the golden hour and the first lights of the city. Choose your date below and I’ll show you the sunset and the entry time to book.
At about 447 m, the calculator below gives a horizon distance of roughly 75 km on a clear day. Lake Ontario fills the south side, and downtown fills the rest.

Geometric horizon d ≈ 3.57 × √h (km, h in metres); refraction adds about 8%. Haze and clouds usually limit the real view first. Formula: Distance to the horizon.
These are the landmarks I’d look for, with their straight-line distance from the tower in kilometres and miles. Nathan Phillips Square is 1.17 km (0.72 mi) away, Toronto Old City Hall is 1.19 km (0.74 mi) and the new City Hall is 1.23 km (0.77 mi). The Allen Lambert Galleria is just 0.79 km (0.49 mi) away, the Distillery Historic District is 2.40 km (1.49 mi), and Casa Loma, the castle, is 4.34 km (2.69 mi). Polson Pier is 2.54 km (1.58 mi) away, and the Toronto Skyline Viewpoint is 2.65 km (1.65 mi).
There is no other ticketed deck in Toronto on this site yet. Google Maps lists several smaller viewpoints around the waterfront, which are useful if you want to photograph the tower itself, since you can’t do that from the tower.

How I’d Choose
Cheapest: the $37.56 Main and Lower Observation Levels ticket, the lowest of the CN Tower tickets.
First visit: the same CN Tower ticket, booked for the hour before sunset.
Sunset or night: the $98.29 night driving tour if you want a driver and a guide, otherwise the standard ticket in a late slot.
Short on time: the CN Tower tickets with a guide, the $70.01 small group walk, 1.5 hours with entry included.
Thrill-seekers: EdgeWalk, the priciest of the CN Tower tickets that get you in, at $159.01, with entry included, between spring and autumn.
Splurge: the $1,249 private flight for up to three people, or the JoyaTrip walk with cruise from $134.62 if you want a long day.
Frequently asked questions
How much do CN Tower tickets cost?+
On GetYourGuide the cheapest CN Tower ticket is $37.56 for the Main and Lower Observation Levels. Tours that include entry start at $70.01 for the 1.5-hour small group walk and reach $98.29 for the night drive. EdgeWalk is $159.01, and the private plane flight is listed at $1,249 for the whole aircraft.
Do I need to purchase CN Tower tickets in advance?+
I'd book CN Tower tickets ahead. The $37.56 ticket is for a chosen entry date and time, and the listing asks you not to arrive before that slot. One reviewer arrived an hour early and had to wait. Booking CN Tower tickets online also lets you cancel free up to 24 hours before, which every listing here offers.
How to get cheaper CN Tower tickets?+
The lowest price I found is the $37.56 Main and Lower Observation Levels ticket, and it already includes fast track entry. The tour listings cost more because they add a guide, transport or a cruise. Tours that bundle CN Tower tickets with a guide start at $70.01, so I wouldn't expect savings from them.
Is the top of the CN Tower worth it?+
For a first visit, yes, if the sky is clear. CN Tower tickets lead to The Top, about 447 m up, roughly 100 m above the main deck, and the horizon from that height is around 75 km. The $37.56 ticket lists access to The Top. On a cloudy winter day, the view can be much less rewarding.
Is the CN Tower free if you take the stairs?+
No. According to Wikipedia, the stairs (1,776 steps to the main deck) are for emergency use only, apart from two charity stair-climb events a year. You can't walk up on a normal day, so everyone arrives by elevator with one of the CN Tower tickets above.
How long does it take to walk up the CN Tower?+
Wikipedia says the average climber needs about 30 minutes to reach the base of the radome, and the record is 7 minutes 52 seconds, set in 1989. That only applies to the organised charity climbs. On a normal visit, allow about 1.5 hours, which is the duration listed for the standard ticket.
