TOKYO SKYTREE® Observation Deck Admission ticket
4.5 (15,970) · from $12.66

Tokyo Skytree tickets start at $12.66 on GetYourGuide for the Tembo Deck, with the 450 m Tembo Galleria as an option. The most reviewed is the same listing, rated 4.54 from 15,970 reviews. The tower is 634 m tall according to Wikidata. I’d go about an hour before sunset, on a day with little cloud.

I compared all five Tokyo Skytree tickets and experiences that GetYourGuide sells right now: two admission tickets, a private guided visit, a full day city tour and an aerial tour. Prices, ratings and inclusions come from the listings, checked in October 2026, in US dollars and as starting prices. Links open GetYourGuide in a new tab, and I earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.
Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, and Wikipedia says it opened to the public on 22 May 2012. Here are the numbers behind these Tokyo Skytree tickets, each with its source.
Take in a sweeping panorama of Tokyo—on clear days you can even spot Mt. Fuji, with a drink from the café in hand.
The listings name two public levels, and Wikipedia gives their capacity as 2,000 people at 350 m and 900 at 450 m. That is why most Tokyo Skytree tickets are sold as a Tembo Deck entry with the Galleria as an upgrade.
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Public levels | Tembo Deck at 350 m and Tembo Galleria at 450 m, per the official site |
| Address | 1 Chome-1-2 Oshiage, Sumida City, Tokyo 131-0045, per Google Maps |
| Opening hours | 9 AM to 10 PM Saturday and Sunday, 10 AM to 10 PM Monday to Friday, per Google Maps |
| Google Maps rating | 4.4 from 120,487 reviews |
| Time to allow | About 2 hours, per the aquarium combo and private tour listings |
The ticket to start from is the LINKTIVITY admission, the cheapest and the most reviewed of all the Tokyo Skytree observation deck tickets at $12.66. It is rated 4.54 from 15,970 reviews. The listing includes admission to the Tembo Deck at 350 m, and the Tembo Galleria at 450 m if you select that option. It also sells a night view option with a drink and a morning option with a soft drink and a snack, both at the SKYTREE CAFE350. You collect it at the 4F ticket counter.
My reasoning is plain: among Tokyo Skytree tickets, nothing else combines this price with this many reviews. Free cancellation applies up to 31 days and 8 hours before, which makes it easy to book early and then watch the forecast. One reviewer noted a wait for the lift but said the sunset made it worthwhile.

Prices for Tokyo Skytree tickets run from $12.66 to $318.03 on my list, but only the first three actually sell you the deck. The step up from the plain ticket is the admission with Sumida Aquarium entry at $27.85. It includes a single ticket for the 350 floor or a combo for the 350 and 450 floors, depending on the package, plus the aquarium. It is rated 4.57, but from only 9 reviews, so treat that score lightly.
Check the cancellation line before you buy these Tokyo Skytree tickets: this one is non-refundable, unlike the plain ticket. The listing allows about 2 hours and does not include transport to the aquarium. A reviewer called the aquarium small, so I’d choose this only if you want the second attraction or a rainy day plan.

LINKTIVITY Inc.
My pick: A $27.85 combo of deck entry and Sumida Aquarium; non-refundable and only 9 reviews, so a rainy day pick rather than my default.

$27.85
People who search for the height are usually deciding how far up to go, and which Tokyo Skytree tickets to buy. Wikidata gives the tower a total height of 634 m, and the higher public deck is the Tembo Galleria at 450 m. The Tembo Deck sits at 350 m, as the official site states for its floor. Wikipedia’s list of public decks gives 451.2 m for the top one, which matches the Galleria within a metre or so.
The product on this card is a different thing: a full day city tour with the Skytree and Senso-ji. It costs $287.65, runs 8 to 9 hours and includes a vehicle, an English speaking driver, hotel pickup and entrance tickets. It has no rating yet, and the listing does not say which deck the entrance ticket covers, so ask before you rely on the Galleria. Other stops include Tokyo Tower, Shibuya Crossing and Meiji Shrine.

Ozaki Tour & Travel
My pick: A private full day city tour from $287.65 with Skytree entry; unrated, and the listing does not say which deck is included.
from
$287.65
Both are towers with a view, but Tokyo Skytree tickets buy you far more height. Google Maps rates Skytree 4.4 from 120,487 reviews and Tokyo Tower 4.5 from 101,619, so visitors score them almost the same. Tokyo Tower is 8.2 km (5.1 mi) from Skytree in a straight line, so you will not combine the two casually in one hour. I’d pick Skytree for the open skyline over the east of the city, and Tokyo Tower for the red lattice as part of the picture.
If you want a view of Skytree from the air as well, there is the Skytree Course Aerial Tour at $318.03. It is a one hour product built around a 23 minute tour course, and it does not include deck entry. The listing excludes non-swimmers and sets weight limits, and the meeting point is a Google Maps pin outside Sumida. It has no ratings, so it is a splurge, not one of the Tokyo Skytree tickets I’d buy for a first visit.

My pick: A 23 minute aerial tour for $318.03; no deck entry, no reviews yet, with weight limits and a swimming requirement.

If you search for the deck price, you may be after the cost of entry alone. The official ticket page is where the tower lists its own rates, and I could not verify them for this page. On GetYourGuide the Tembo Deck is $12.66, and the leftover on my list is a private tour at $72. It gives lower and upper deck entrance tickets and a two hour private guided tour of the Skytree area with a local guide.
This one is a leftover in my ranking rather than the best match for a price search. But the numbers are worth knowing: $72 buys a guide, photos sent after the tour and both decks, and it can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before. It rates a perfect 5 from 2 reviews, so the score says little. The listing lists Solamachi among the stops.

The deck is open until 10 PM according to Google Maps, so a night visit works with ordinary Tokyo Skytree tickets. The plain admission also has a night view option that is time limited and comes with an alcoholic drink at the SKYTREE CAFE350, as the listing says. In the monthly data the sun sets as early as 16:28 in December and as late as 18:58 in June, so in winter the lights come on before dinner.
One reviewer wrote that at night everything was lit up. Wikipedia adds that the tower’s lights alternate daily between a sky blue pattern called Iki and a purple one called Miyabi. I’d take an evening slot in the cold months and a sunset slot from spring to summer. Wrap up warm with your Tokyo Skytree ticket, because the upper level is exposed.
Amazing 360-degree view. At night, everything was lit up. Definitely recommended!
Buying Tokyo Skytree tickets online is the sensible route, and the official site says as much with a page on why online purchase is recommended. On GetYourGuide you get a voucher before you travel. The plain ticket is collected at the 4F ticket counter, per the listing, and the cancellation is free up to 31 days and 8 hours before. For a flexible trip, that is the main reason I’d book here rather than at the counter.
Where to be careful is the options. The Galleria, the night view and the morning view are selected when you book, and they change what the ticket includes. Pick them on the booking page before paying, and do not assume the cheapest price covers the 450 m level. Bring the voucher for your Tokyo Skytree ticket on your phone, since the counter works from the booking.
Google Maps lists Tokyo Skytree as open from 9 AM to 10 PM on Saturday and Sunday and from 10 AM to 10 PM Monday to Friday. The official site showed 9:00 am to 10:00 pm with final entry at 21:00 on the day I read it. Hours change with the season and for events, and the official open hours page is where I’d confirm your date.
For Tokyo Skytree tickets, that means the last entry is an hour before closing. If you want the sunset, book the slot at least 45 minutes before it, which in December means being up by about 15:30. Weekday mornings open at 10 AM, an hour later than the weekend.
Anyone searching for the official website of Tokyo Skytree tickets wants to avoid a reseller that overcharges. The tower runs its own ticket page, and the plain entry there is a sensible benchmark. I could not confirm its prices for this page, so I won’t quote them. The Tokyo Skytree tickets on this page start at $12.66, and you should compare that to the official rate on the day.
I think the GetYourGuide route is worth it in two cases: you want a voucher in your inbox and free cancellation, or you want a guide, like the $72 private tour. If you only want the deck and the official dates are open, buying Tokyo Skytree tickets at the source is also fine.
With Tokyo Skytree tickets in hand, the entrance for the observation deck is on the 4th floor. The meeting point on the entry listings is the Tokyo Skytree 4F Ticket Counter at 1 Chome-1-2 Oshiage, which is also the Google Maps address. The private tour instead meets at the Information Center on the 1st floor. If you booked it, follow the listing and not the signs to the ticket counter.
From the station area you walk into the Solamachi complex at the foot of the tower, and the counter is upstairs. Allow 15 minutes before your slot to find it, as the area is busy at weekends.
Cloud cover decides how good the view is, so it matters when you book Tokyo Skytree tickets. In the 2025 weather data from Open-Meteo, the clearest months are January at 36% average cloud cover and February at 37%, with December at 40%. The cloudiest is May at 86%, followed by October at 78%. February also had 9.0 sunshine hours a day. Sunset runs from 16:28 in December to 18:58 in June.

Mount Fuji is the big question here. The official site says that on clear days you can even spot Mt. Fuji from the Tembo Deck, and the cloud data points to the winter months as your best chance. I can’t promise a sighting on any day, so book a flexible ticket and look at the forecast the day before. Arrive 45 to 60 minutes before sunset.

From the deck height the horizon is about 75.8 km away, by the standard formula. This calculator lets you try the height of each level.

Below you are the streets of Sumida, and the first thing I’d look for is Sensō-ji, 1.4 km (0.9 mi) away in a straight line. Meiji Jingu is 10.7 km (6.7 mi) away, Shinjuku Gyoen 9.5 km (5.9 mi), Shinjuku Golden-Gai 9.7 km (6.0 mi), Godzilla Head in Shinjuku 10.0 km (6.2 mi) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building 11.0 km (6.8 mi). Shibuya Sky and the Shibuya Scramble Crossing are both 11.4 km (7.1 mi) away, and Tokyo Tower is 8.2 km (5.1 mi) away. These are straight-line distances from Google Maps coordinates.

Tokyo has several decks, and Skytree is the tallest, so compare before buying tickets for Tokyo Skytree. Distances are straight-line from Skytree.

If you want a second skyline on the same trip, Shibuya Sky is the one I’d add.
You can walk around the tower base and the Solamachi shopping complex without a ticket, but the Tembo Deck at 350 m and the Tembo Galleria at 450 m are paid. The cheapest Tokyo Skytree ticket I found on GetYourGuide is $12.66 for the Tembo Deck, with the upper level as an option. The official site sells tickets as well.
I think so if you have a clear day. The Tembo Deck is 350 m up, the Galleria 450 m, and Google Maps shows 4.4 stars from 120,487 reviews. The best-reviewed ticket here is 4.54 from 15,970 reviews. Cloud is the risk, so check the month table on this page before you commit to the dearer upper level.
Skytree is far higher, with decks at 350 m and 450 m, and Google Maps rates it 4.4 from 120,487 reviews against 4.5 from 101,619 for Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Tower is 8.2 km away, so it is a separate trip. I'd pick Skytree for the height and the open skyline.
Allow about two hours. The aquarium combo listing is described as 2 hours, and the private guided tour is 2 hours as well. A plain Tembo Deck visit can be shorter, but queues for the lift and the upper level add time, so I would not book anything tight straight after.
The official site recommends buying online and explains why on its web purchase page, so check its current price. On GetYourGuide the entry listing is $12.66 and can be cancelled free up to 31 days and 8 hours ahead. I cannot quote the official price, because I could not verify it for this page.
I'd split the difference and go an hour before sunset. You see the city in daylight, then watch the lights come on. One GetYourGuide reviewer wrote that at night everything was lit up. The entry listing also has a night view option and a morning option, so you can pick a time.
Skytree. Wikidata gives it a height of 634 m, while Wikidata lists the Eiffel Tower at 330 m. The public decks follow the same order: 350 m and 450 m here, against a top deck of 276.1 m in Paris. Both heights are from Wikidata and Wikipedia.
