Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets start at $39.95 for the standard entry ticket, which is also the most reviewed option I found, rated 4.63 from 4,852 reviews. The observation deck is at 314 m, according to the official site. I’d go about an hour before sunset and stay for the city lights.

I compared every Mahanakhon SkyWalk ticket and tour that you can book on GetYourGuide right now: four plain tickets, a cooking class combo, a dinner cruise package and a private night trip that include entry. Prices, ratings and inclusions come from the listings, checked in October 2026, in US dollars. Links open GetYourGuide in a new tab, and I earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.

Mahanakhon SkyWalk at a Glance

The SkyWalk is the observation deck at the top of King Power Mahanakhon, a tower in Bangkok’s Si Lom business district. Wikipedia gives the building a height of 314.2 m and credits the German architect Ole Scheeren with the design. Here are the numbers behind the Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets on this page, each with its source.

The listings describe two levels. An indoor deck on the 74th floor comes first, then you step outside on the 78th floor, where the glass floor is. The tallest-building title has moved on: Wikipedia says the Magnolias Waterfront Residences at ICONSIAM took the national height record in 2018. Several listings still call the SkyWalk Thailand’s highest observation deck, so I’d read that as the sellers’ claim and not rely on it.

The hours in the listings do not all match the official ones, as I explain below, so check the day you plan to go before you buy Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets.

Mahanakhon SkyWalk Observation Deck Tickets

If you only want the view, this is where I’d start among all the Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets. The Observation Deck Entry Ticket from You Tai Travel, one of the best-rated Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets, covers the 74th-floor indoor deck and the 78th-floor outdoor deck with its glass floor. It is rated 4.71 from 267 reviews, which is the best score of the plain tickets, and it is listed under skip the line. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before, and the voucher is valid for 24 hours.

The listing also offers optional extras that you choose at checkout: a skyride, a drink package for the rooftop bar, a food coupon, a soft drink and a digital photo. The base price covers none of them, so the $41.84 is only the deck. Reviewers talk about walking straight to the entrance without a big queue, and about the glass floor as the memorable part. What I’d watch is the price of the extras, because they can add up fast.

Mahanakhon SkyWalk Tickets and Prices

The plain Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets cost $39.95 and $41.84. Pay more and you are buying a time slot or an extra. The Wanderung sunset ticket is $57.92, rated 4.3 from 162 reviews, and it adds a digital photo and hotel pickup and drop-off, which is unusual for a deck ticket. It runs about 3 hours, so you are paying for the transfer and a sunset slot more than for a higher view. Food and drinks are not included.

That makes the price gap between Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets easy to read. The sunset ticket is $17.97 more than the cheapest option, and about $16 more than the best-rated plain ticket. If you are staying nearby and can walk, the transfer is wasted money. If your hotel is across the city and you hate the evening traffic, it can be worth the premium. The official site lists THB 500 to 1,200 and says the price varies by time, so a sunset slot costing more fits that pattern.

Mahanakhon Skywalk Bangkok

The ticket most people mean by Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets is GlobalTix’s Entry Ticket at $39.95, the lowest price in my list and by far the most reviewed, at 4.63 from 4,852. Of all the Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets, it is the one I’d book for a first visit to the SkyWalk in Bangkok: both decks, the glass floor, free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead, and a voucher valid for a day. You show the voucher on your phone or printed, with your passport or ID, at the SkyWalk counter.

Its listing is also the clearest among Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets about what you pay extra for. A skyride, the 78th-floor rooftop bar, a food coupon, a soft drink and a digital photo are all marked as options you must choose. The reviews are mostly warm, with comments like a must-see attraction in Bangkok, but one reviewer called it very commercialized, with a charge for everything. That is the trade-off: a low base price, with the extras sold on top.

Mahanakhon Skywalk Price

Pricing on the other tickets for the Mahanakhon SkyWalk splits into three bands. The plain tickets sit between $39.95 and $41.84, and the 360-degree views ticket is $64.29. Anything higher than that includes a transfer, a meal or a class, which I cover below. In my data, the price of the deck itself never goes far above $60.

This section’s listing is the last of the sunset tickets. It is a leftover in my data and I would not choose it first: Sunset Ticket with Photo from Aftab World costs $59.81 for 2 hours, but it has only 6 reviews and a 3.42 rating. The listing includes admission and access to the rooftop and glass floor. It says hours run from 10 AM to 10 PM with last admission at 9 PM, and it names BTS Chong Nonsi Station, Exit 3, for access. One reviewer wrote that their tickets were not found at the entrance, and another that there was no sign for the meeting point. With a rating that low from so few people, I’d choose the Wanderung sunset slot above, or the plain ticket.

Sky Tower Observation Deck Hours

The opening hours are the part of Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets where sources disagree. Google Maps shows 10 AM to 12 AM every day for King Power Mahanakhon. The official site says 10 AM to 12 AM for the SkyWalk with last access at 11 PM. One listing says 10 AM to 7 PM, and another says 10 AM to 10 PM with last admission at 9 PM. That likely reflects the slots each seller can sell, but I can’t confirm it, so the official page is the one to check, and the date-specific slot on your voucher is the one that counts.

The one I’d pick for a daytime visit with a bit more to do is the Entry Ticket with 360 Degree Views from MyTrip Maker, at $64.29 with 4.41 stars from 21 reviews. It adds the Mahanakhon SkyVerse, an immersive art exhibition on the 4th floor, to the deck access on the 74th and 78th floors. The listing says the elevator reaches the 74th floor in 50 seconds, with a video of Bangkok landmarks playing on the way. Food and drinks are not included.

My pick: A $64.29 ticket that adds the SkyVerse art exhibition to both decks; 4.41 stars from 21 reviews, so a small sample.

Mahanakhon Skywalk Bar

If the bar is what you are after, I want to be exact about what each ticket gives you. The rooftop bar on the 78th floor is an option on the GlobalTix and You Tai listings, along with a soft drink and a food coupon. It is not in the base price. Google Maps lists King Power Mahanakhon with the categories tourist attraction, bar and store, so a drink with the view is possible, but I found no menu or prices in my data.

The ticket on this card is not one of the bar-only Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets at all. It is a 7-hour evening package from Ticket2Attraction at $226.97: hotel transfer, an English-speaking guide and driver, a Mahanakhon SkyWalk ticket, then a 2-hour dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya with a Thai and international seafood buffet, live music and free-flow soft drinks, coffee and tea, and a stroll through the Patpong night market. Alcohol on the cruise is not included. It has one review, a 5-star one, so I can’t say how it holds up. It is an expensive evening, and the SkyWalk is only the first stop.

Mahanakhon Skywalk Tickets Online

Booking Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets online is straightforward, and I’d do it for one reason: the price shifts by time, and the listings let you pick a date and slot. Every one of these Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before, so you can book ahead and move it if the forecast turns. You receive a voucher by email, and the listings ask you to show it on your phone or printed, together with your passport or ID, at the SkyWalk counter.

One listing says the ticketing counter has direct access from BTS Chong Nonsi Station, Exit 3, and Google Maps shows the Chong Nonsi Skywalk bridge only 0.3 km (0.2 miles) away. With Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets on your phone, I’d save the confirmation email offline in case the phone signal drops in the lobby.

Mahanakhon Tower in Bangkok

The most expensive way to see the tower is a private day trip. The Bangkok by Night trip starts from Pattaya, lasts 13 hours, and includes a private round-trip hotel transfer in an air-conditioned vehicle, an English-speaking guide, and admission to King Power Mahanakhon SkyWalk. It continues to two temples, Wat Kalayanamit Woramahawihan and Wat Prayurawongsawat Worawihan, the ICONSIAM observation deck, and a Chao Phraya dinner cruise with a buffet and live show. Bottled water is included, and alcohol and tips are not.

At $460.83 it is a trip for a Pattaya base, not one of the ordinary Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets. It has no reviews yet in my data, so I’d treat it as unproven. The listing calls the tower Southeast Asia’s tallest building, which Wikipedia’s note on the 2018 record makes doubtful today, so I wouldn’t repeat that. If you are in Bangkok already, the tower is better visited on its own.

My pick: A private 13-hour day trip from Pattaya at $460.83 that starts at the tower; no reviews yet, so I'd keep it for groups who need the transfer.

Mahanakhon Skyscraper City Views

The last product is for people who want something to do before they go up. The Thai Cooking Class and Mahanakhon SkyWalk Ticket costs $115.13 and takes 3 to 6 hours depending on the session. There are three daily sessions. The morning class starts at 8:30 AM with a market tour, and afterwards you receive a digital SkyWalk ticket to use in the afternoon at your own pace. Included are the class, a recipe booklet, a souvenir certificate and transport to the SkyWalk.

The price includes the SkyWalk ticket, so the class costs about $75 over the cheapest entry. It has no reviews in my data. I’d book these Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets if the cooking class is the main draw, and treat the deck as the bonus. Check which of the 2 meeting points your option uses, since the listing says that depends on the session.

My pick: A cooking class with a SkyWalk ticket at $115.13; no reviews yet, so book it for the class and treat the deck as a bonus.

Mahanakhon Rooftop Observatory

The rooftop observatory is the part of Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets that most people photograph: the 78th-floor outdoor deck and its glass floor. The listing for the You Tai ticket says you can pick out landmarks such as the Giant Swing and Wat Phra Kaew from there. The official site gives the deck as 314 m. Google Maps gives King Power Mahanakhon 4.7 stars from 30,226 reviews, which is a strong score for a paid deck.

For anyone holding Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets, I found no published rules on bags, cameras or dress code in my data, so check the official site before you go. One reviewer of the You Tai ticket wrote that they went straight to the entrance with no big queue. I’d still pick a weekday if you want fewer people around the glass floor.

Best Time to Visit Mahanakhon SkyWalk

The weather at the tower decides how good your Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets turn out. Open-Meteo data for 2025 at the building shows the lowest average cloud cover in February at 47 percent, followed by December at 48 percent and January at 51 percent. The cloudiest months are July and September at 97 percent, and each had 29 rainy days. The sunset only moves from 17:47 in November to 18:49 in July, so the slot is easier to plan than in a northern city.

What time should I book for sunset?

–

typical cloud cover that week

Sunset and cloud cover for the same dates in 2025 at the deck (Open-Meteo historical weather (ERA5), 2025); sunset moves by about a minute between years.

I’d arrive 45 to 60 minutes before sunset. That gives you daylight for the first photos, the colour change, and the lit city afterwards. January has the most sunshine, at 10.8 hours a day on average, and July the least, at 6.7. For a Mahanakhon SkyWalk visit, December to March had the lowest cloud cover in the 2025 data, and May to September the highest, so the rainy months are the riskiest for a clear outdoor deck. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo.

Mahanakhon SkyWalk vs Other Observation Decks in Bangkok

For Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets versus the rest of the city, King Power Mahanakhon is the deck I’d rank first for the glass floor and the outdoor level. Ratings are from Google Maps and distances are straight-line from the SkyWalk.

Deck Google rating Reviews Distance from SkyWalk Free or paid
King Power Mahanakhon 4.7 30,226 n/a Paid
Baiyoke Observation Deck 4.5 415 3.6 km Check locally
Asiatique Sky 4.5 2,997 3.4 km Check locally
Wat Arun Viewing Point 4.6 709 4.7 km Check locally

Baiyoke Sky Tower is the other tower with a public deck in Bangkok, and its page is not on this site yet. It has far fewer Google reviews than the SkyWalk, so I’d treat the SkyWalk as the default for a first visit, and look at Baiyoke if you want a second angle on the city.

How I’d Choose

Frequently asked questions

How much is the entrance to Mahanakhon Skywalk?

The standard Mahanakhon SkyWalk entry ticket is $39.95 on GetYourGuide, rated 4.63 from 4,852 reviews. Sunset tickets with a photo run from $57.92 to $59.81, and combos with a cruise or class cost more. The official site lists THB 500 to 1,200 and says the price varies by time. Prices can change by date.

Which BTS station is near Mahanakhon Skywalk?

One listing says the ticket counter has direct access from BTS Chong Nonsi Station, Exit 3. Google Maps shows the Chong Nonsi Skywalk bridge about 0.3 km (0.2 miles) from the tower. I'd get off at Chong Nonsi and bring your voucher and your passport or ID to the SkyWalk counter.

What are the opening hours of Mahanakhon SkyWalk?

Google Maps and the official site both show 10 AM to 12 AM, with last access at 11 PM according to the official site. One listing states 10 AM to 7 PM and another 10 AM to 10 PM with last admission at 9 PM. Hours differ by ticket, so read your listing and check the official site before you go.

Is the Mahanakhon SkyWalk worth it?

For a first visit I think so, and Mahanakhon SkyWalk tickets are cheap enough to risk. The standard ticket covers the indoor deck on the 74th floor and the outdoor deck on the 78th floor with its glass floor, at $39.95. One reviewer found it very commercialized, because drinks, photos and the skyride cost extra. I'd buy the plain ticket and add only what you want.

What is the best time to go to Mahanakhon SkyWalk?

I'd arrive 45 to 60 minutes before sunset, which falls between 17:47 in November and 18:49 in July. Open-Meteo data for 2025 shows February had the lowest average cloud cover at 47 percent and July the highest at 97 percent. Use the sunset planner on this page for your date.

Is there a glass floor at Mahanakhon SkyWalk?

Yes. The ticket listings describe a see-through glass floor on the 78th-floor outdoor deck, and the official site shows a glass tray. The official site gives the deck as 314 m. If heights bother you, the indoor deck on the 74th floor is a gentler place to start before you step out.

How long do you need at the Mahanakhon SkyWalk?

The sunset ticket listings say 2 to 3 hours, which includes waiting for the light and, on one listing, hotel pickup. Without a transfer, I'd allow about 90 minutes to 2 hours for the ride up, both decks, photos and a drink. The standard ticket is valid for 24 hours from the voucher.
