The cheapest of the Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets I found is also the only one: a $6 ride of 17 minutes, rated 4.4 from 11 reviews on GetYourGuide. The wheel reaches about 100 m above ground, per Wikipedia. I’d book Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets for the hour around sunset, when Taipei 101 starts to glow in the distance.

The Miramar Ferris Wheel stands on the roof of Miramar Entertainment Park in Dazhi, a district in the north of Taipei. Wikipedia lists the mall’s opening date as 19 November 2004 and describes the wheel as 70 m tall, with a combined overall height of 100 m for the building and wheel. Because it is a wheel and not a tower, Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets come in one type and one viewing height: the top of the ride.
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Viewing height | About 100 m above ground, the top of the wheel on the mall roof, per Wikipedia |
| Cabins | 48 carriages, up to six passengers each, 288 people at a time, per the GetYourGuide listing |
| Indoor or open-air | Enclosed cabin; a reviewer mentions air conditioning on hot days and an optional crystal car |
| Address | 5F, No. 20 Jingye 3rd Rd, Zhongshan District, Taipei, per Google Maps |
| Opening hours | 1 to 10 pm daily, per Google Maps |
| Time to allow | 17 minutes for the ride, plus time to find the 5th-floor counter |
The building and wheel combined have a total overall height of 100 meters.
There is no separate deck here, so Miramar Ferris Wheel observation deck tickets are tickets for a seat in a cabin. The Fontrip listing promises views of Songshan Airport, the mountains of Dazhi and Neihu and towers such as Taipei 101. It describes the ride as 17 minutes, which is enough for a full revolution at an easy pace. At night the wheel runs three light shows that the listing says are inspired by earth, wind and sky.
For a first visit I’d book this one of the Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets, since it is the only one on offer. It costs $6, the booking is free to cancel up to 24 hours ahead, and the listing offers Chinese and English. These Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets are just the ride, with no meal or souvenir attached. The listing advises against it for people with heart problems or a fear of heights, and it says food, drinks and smoking are not allowed in the cabin.

Wonderful way to experience the city at sunset. No long queue, option to sit in a crystal car with great views, easy to get to, clean nice cars, shopping mall below with plenty of entertainment and dining options.
With one product there is no ladder to climb among Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets. The GetYourGuide ticket costs $6 per person, and that is the price for one adult on one ride. I could not find a cheaper or pricier version in the data, so I have no figures for child, couple or crystal-car prices, and I won’t guess them.
Because a cabin seats up to six, a group shares the ride but not the ticket: Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets are sold one per person. The calculator below adds up a group total with the booking link, which is handy for a family of five or six. I’d also keep a few extra dollars for the mall below, since the park is built around shops and food.

Prices are the lowest per-person prices on GetYourGuide when I last checked; the final price depends on the date, time slot and age.
Set the price of Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets against what they buy. At $6, you get 17 minutes in an enclosed cabin above a dense part of the city, which works out at roughly 35 cents a minute. That is a small outlay next to an observatory ticket in a skyscraper, though the two give very different views.
The trade-off is height. The wheel reaches about 100 m, so it shows rooftops and the hills around Dazhi and Neihu, not a full skyline from above. For the money I’d call Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets a fair buy and a relaxed evening, not a headline sight.
Google Maps shows the wheel open from 1 to 10 pm every day. The official Miramar page for the wheel lists the same 13:00 to 22:00 window with ticket sales ending at 21:50. Some third-party ticket sites print 11:00 to 23:00 or later on weekends, so the sources don’t fully agree.
I found no closure notice for the wheel in my searches, but hours can change on holidays, in storms and during maintenance. Check the official site on the day you go. If you want a night ride, buy your Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets early in the evening, well before the 21:50 cut-off.
Reviews of Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets are good, though the GetYourGuide sample is small: 4.4 from 11 reviews. Google Maps shows 4.3 from 22,807 reviews for the wheel itself, which is a much firmer signal. Reviewers praise the sunset ride, the short queue, the clean cabins and the option of a crystal car.
The complaints are fair ones. A reviewer who rode in the rain saw little, another found it just a Ferris wheel and not particularly spectacular, and a third said the park is only reachable by taxi or bus. I’d read that as a warning to pick a clear evening and plan your journey, not as a reason to skip it.
The height behind Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets is worth a line. The wheel is described as 70 m tall on Wikipedia, which also gives 100 m as the total overall height of building and wheel. The GetYourGuide listing says you ride up to 100 metres. Since the wheel sits on the mall roof, the 100 m figure is the one I use for the height of the view above the street.
That matters for the horizon. The calculator in the “What You Can See” section uses 100 m, so it shows how far a clear-day line of sight reaches. Haze and cloud usually cut that well short, so treat it as the maximum.
When people search for Taipei Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets they usually want the quickest route to a voucher. The GetYourGuide product is titled Miramar Ferris Wheel Ticket, and the operator is Fontrip. You pick a date, then take the voucher to the ticket counter on the 5th floor of Miramar Entertainment Park.
Bring a passport or ID card, which the listing asks for with Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets. The listing says the experience is wheelchair accessible. I could not confirm whether you swap the voucher or scan it, so read the confirmation email once you book.
The listing gives the meeting point as the 5th-floor ticket counter, a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Jiannan Rd. MRT Station. If you take a taxi, show the driver the Chinese name, Meilihua Baile Yuan, which the listing prints for exactly this purpose. Some reviewers found the park awkward to reach without a taxi or bus, so allow extra time on a first trip. Booking Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets early does not change the journey, so plan the route first.
From the wheel, the National Palace Museum is 2.4 km away in a straight line, so a day that pairs the museum and an evening ride is easy to plan. Taipei 101 is about 5.5 km away, and you can spot it from the cabin.

Sunset and cloud cover for the same dates in 2025 at the deck (Open-Meteo historical weather (ERA5), 2025); sunset moves by about a minute between years.
For Miramar Ferris Wheel tickets, the clearest month in the 2025 Open-Meteo data for the wheel was August, with 55% cloud cover and 10.7 sunshine hours a day. October was next at 56%, then September at 57%. The cloudiest months were February and July at 79%, and July also had 23 rainy days.
Sunset falls as early as 17:06 in November and December and as late as 18:46 in July. I’d arrive 45 to 60 minutes before sunset, which fits comfortably inside the 1 to 10 pm hours. September and October evenings give the best odds of a clear skyline, and the light shows begin once it is dark. Treat these numbers as a guide, not a forecast.

The National Palace Museum is the nearest at 2.4 km (1.5 mi), and Taipei 101 is 5.6 km (3.5 mi) away. Dihua Street is 5.7 km (3.5 mi), Xiangshan Park 6.0 km (3.7 mi) and Daan Park 6.3 km (3.9 mi). Elephant Mountain is 6.4 km (4.0 mi) away, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall 6.5 km (4.0 mi) and the Ximending Walking District 6.7 km (4.2 mi). Most of these are beyond the wheel’s practical view, so the list is more useful as a day-out planner than as a spotting guide.
Google Maps lists a few other viewpoints in the city. I could not confirm admission rules for most of them, so I mark those as unconfirmed.

| Miramar Ferris Wheel | 4.3 | 22,807 | 0 km | Paid, from $6 |

If you want a high, all-round skyline, the Taipei 101 observatory is the obvious partner for this wheel: it has the better view and the higher price, while the wheel is the relaxed, cheap evening. The Xiangshan lookouts are viewpoints near Elephant Mountain that are reached on foot.
On GetYourGuide the only ticket I found costs $6 per person and covers one 17-minute ride. It is rated 4.4 from 11 reviews and has free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Prices are shown in USD, so the amount in Taiwan dollars depends on the exchange rate on the day you book.
The GetYourGuide listing says the ride takes 17 minutes. Each of the 48 carriages carries up to six passengers, and the wheel holds up to 288 people at a time, per the same listing. That is long enough for a full turn and a few photos from the top.
Wikipedia describes the wheel as 70 m tall and says the mall and wheel together reach a total overall height of 100 m. The GetYourGuide listing also quotes 100 metres. Because the wheel sits on the mall roof, I use 100 m above ground as the viewing height.
The listing says to go to the ticket counter on the 5th floor of Miramar Entertainment Park, a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Jiannan Rd. MRT Station. A taxi works too: show the driver the Chinese name, Meilihua Baile Yuan. One reviewer found the location awkward without a taxi or bus.
Google Maps shows 1 to 10 pm every day, and the official Miramar page also lists 13:00 to 22:00 with ticket sales ending at 21:50. Some ticket sites print earlier or later hours, so check the official site before you go, especially on holidays.
Yes. The Miramar Ferris Wheel sits on the roof of the Miramar Entertainment Park mall in Dazhi, Taipei, per Wikipedia. The mall opened on 19 November 2004. The ticket counter is inside the park on the 5th floor, and the mall below has shops and restaurants.
For $6, I think so, if you want a calm sunset or night view over Taipei. The GetYourGuide rating is 4.4 and Google Maps shows 4.3 from 22,807 reviews. One reviewer called it just a Ferris wheel, not particularly spectacular, so don't expect a skyscraper-style panorama.
