Petřín Lookout Tower tickets start at $7 on GetYourGuide, and the best-known option is the $13 tower and Mirror Maze entry, rated 4.3 from 2,890 reviews. The viewing cabin is 51 m up, according to the official Prague page, reached by 299 steps or a lift. I would go on a clear morning, before the haze builds, or late in the afternoon in winter.
I compared the two Petřín Lookout Tower tickets that GetYourGuide sells today: one combined entry with the Mirror Maze, and one audio guide of the hill with an optional tower ticket. Every price, rating and inclusion on this page comes from those listings or from the official Prague page, checked in October 2026. GetYourGuide prices are in US dollars, and the official prices are in Czech crowns, which I do not convert. Links open GetYourGuide in a new tab, and I earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.
Petřín Lookout Tower at a Glance
The Petřín Lookout Tower is a steel-framework tower on Petřín Hill in Prague, and Wikipedia says it was built in 1891 and resembles the Eiffel Tower. Locals and visitors also call it Petřín Tower. These are the numbers behind the Petřín Lookout Tower tickets, each with its source.
The two sources disagree on the height. Wikipedia’s lead gives 63.5 m, while the official Prague page says a 2021 re-measurement gave 58.70 m for the whole structure, the same figure Wikidata holds. I use the official figure. What matters for your ticket is the gallery, a viewing cabin at 51 m, plus a covered terrace at 20 m on the first level.

Petřín Lookout Tower Observation Deck Tickets
If you want one dependable Petřín Lookout Tower ticket, start with the Petřín Tower and Mirror Maze Entry Ticket. It costs $13, is rated 4.3 from 2,890 reviews and is the most reviewed of the Petřín Lookout Tower tickets I found. It is sold by Prague City Tourism a.s., the same company behind the official Prague page. The ticket covers the lookout tower and the Mirror Maze in Petřín Park, and you exchange the voucher at the tower’s ticket office.
Be clear about what you are buying. The listing is valid for one day, and free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before. It does not include the lift, and it excludes food and drinks. A reviewer who walked up to Prague Castle first paid the lift on top, and the official surcharge is 150 CZK for adults. The official page prices its own combined tower and Mirror Maze ticket at 300 CZK, so the online route is about the same money with the date fixed in advance.

My pick: My default for a first visit: $13, 4.3 stars from 2,890 reviews, tower plus Mirror Maze, one day of validity and free cancellation.
The second option is a different product. The Prague Petřín Hill AudioGuide costs $7, is rated 4.1 from only 11 reviews and lasts about 2 hours. The main item is an audio guide on your phone in nine languages, covering the hill’s history, the magic cave and the sites most visitors walk past. The tower is an option: the listing says an e-ticket without the lift is included only if you select that option, so check the price on the booking page before you assume it covers the climb.
It also lists a funicular ticket and tickets for the Magic Cave and the Mirror Maze among the inclusions. The official page said the funicular was out of service when I looked, so I would not pay for this one with the ride in mind. Of the two Petřín Lookout Tower tickets here, think of this one as a walking companion that may add the tower, not as a plain tower ticket. The official prices, for comparison:

My pick: A cheap add-on at $7 if you want the story of the hill, 4.1 stars from only 11 reviews, and the tower is an optional extra.
The short answer on Petřín Lookout Tower tickets and their cost: $7 to $13 online, 250 CZK at the door.
Here is what Petřín Lookout Tower tickets really cost. On GetYourGuide it is $13 with the Mirror Maze, or $7 for the audio guide with the tower as an option. At the tower the basic adult ticket is 250 CZK, and the lift adds 150 CZK for adults and 50 CZK for over-65s. The online combo among the Petřín Lookout Tower tickets is therefore the better value only if you want the Mirror Maze too. If you only want the view, the official basic ticket is the simplest.

Petrin Lookout Tower Hours
The official Prague page lists seasonal hours: 10:00 to 18:00 from January to March, 9:00 to 19:00 from April to September, 9:00 to 18:00 in October and 10:00 to 18:00 in November and December. Google Maps shows 10 AM to 6 PM every day, so the two differ in spring and summer. I trust the official page, and I would check it again before buying Petřín Lookout Tower tickets. Holiday hours change around Christmas and New Year, so check it for your date. Neither source gives a last entry time.
There is a way to pay less. A 50% morning discount applies for the first hour after opening each day, except 25 December and 1 January, per the same page. That is the quietest hour as well.
Petřín Tower and Mirror Maze
The Mirror Maze is a small castle in Petřín Park with a hall of distorting mirrors and a diorama of the 1648 battle of Prague on Charles Bridge, per the combo listing. One reviewer put the maze at 9 to 10 minutes, so it is a short add-on, not a second attraction. I would book the combo of Petřín Lookout Tower tickets for families, since children like it more than the view.
“Absolutely brilliant view of Prague from the top of Petrin Tower.”
The viewing cabin is at 51 m and the structure is 58.70 m tall, both per the official Prague page. That is far lower than Prague’s Žižkov Television Tower, but Petřín Hill sits at 324 m above sea level per Wikidata, so the cabin looks over the whole city. The first-level terrace at 20 m is covered, and it is the part wheelchair users can reach. The 51 m level is too narrow for a wheelchair, per the official page.
Petřín Tower Prague
Tickets for the Petřín Lookout Tower buy you a place on a hill, and the Petřín Tower stands on the west bank of the Vltava, in Malá Strana, away from the Old Town. About 532,236 people visited in 2022, according to Wikidata. It is a walk up the hill, or a ride on the funicular when it runs. If you want the other classic viewpoint in the city, the Old Town Hall Tower looks over the Old Town Square from the opposite bank.
The clearest month at the tower was August, with 44% average cloud cover in the Open-Meteo data, followed by June at 47% and March at 48%. The cloudiest were December at 76%, January at 75% and October and November at 71%. The earliest sunset is 16:00 in December and the latest is 21:14 in June.
There is a catch with Petřín Lookout Tower tickets. From April to September the tower closes at 19:00 per the official page, well before a summer sunset, and in October and March it closes at 18:00 while the sun sets about 18:07 to 18:11. A sunset visit works from November to February, when sunset falls at 16:00 to 17:21. In summer, choose the morning or the late afternoon, and aim for the hour after opening to save half the price.

Petřín Lookout Tower vs Other Observation Decks in Prague
Prague has several viewpoints, and Petřín Lookout Tower tickets are the cheapest way I can price to see the city from a hill. The table lists those in my Google Maps data with distance from the Petřín Lookout Tower. Whether each is free, I leave as “Check locally” unless a source states it.

I would not choose between them on rating alone. Petřín Lookout Tower tickets are the only ones in this table I can price from a source. The Petřín Lookout Tower tickets cost the least of any climb here that I can price, and the park setting is the difference: you see the city from a hill, not from within it.
How I’d Choose
First visit: the $13 Petřín Tower and Mirror Maze entry, the most reviewed option.
Cheapest of the Petřín Lookout Tower tickets: the official basic ticket at 250 CZK, or half price in the first hour after opening.
Families: the combo with the Mirror Maze, or the official family ticket at 500 CZK.
Tired legs: pay the 150 CZK lift at the tower, or the funicular when it runs again.
History lovers: the $7 audio guide, and ask at the booking page about the tower option.
Sunset: visit between November and February, because the tower closes before sunset in summer.
Frequently asked questions
What are the opening hours of the Petřín Tower?+
The official Prague page lists 10:00 to 18:00 from January to March, 9:00 to 19:00 from April to September, 9:00 to 18:00 in October and 10:00 to 18:00 in November and December. Google Maps shows 10 AM to 6 PM every day. Holiday hours differ, so check the official page for your date.
Is Petřín Tower free to enter?+
No. The official page prices a basic ticket at 250 CZK, with reduced, family and youth rates, and children under 5 go free. The park around the tower is open to walk through at any hour per Google Maps. On GetYourGuide the Petřín Lookout Tower tickets cost $13 with the Mirror Maze or $7 for an audio guide.
How many steps are there up the Petřín Tower?+
The official Prague page says 299 steps lead to the viewing cabin at 51 m. A lift also goes up to that level for a surcharge of 150 CZK for adults and 50 CZK for over-65s. The GetYourGuide combo ticket does not include the lift, which one reviewer paid for on top at the tower.
Is Petřín Tower worth it?+
I think so if the sky is clear. Google Maps rates it 4.5 from 36,908 reviews, and the $13 combo ticket is rated 4.3 from 2,890 reviews on GetYourGuide. The gallery is 51 m up, lower than the view from a skyscraper, but it sits on a hill, so the city lies far below you.
Is the Petřín funicular running?+
When I checked the official Prague page in October 2026 it said the funicular was out of service. Wikipedia describes the funicular as the usual way to avoid the walk of about half an hour up the hill. Check the Prague public transport site before you plan around it, and allow time to walk.
Is there a discount for Petřín Lookout Tower tickets?+
Yes, on the official site. A 50% morning discount applies for the first hour after opening each day except 25 December and 1 January. Lítačka card holders pay 225 CZK instead of 250 CZK, and juniors, seniors and ZTP holders pay 170 CZK. The family ticket for two adults and up to four juniors is 500 CZK.
How long does it take to walk to Petřín Tower?+
Wikipedia puts the walk up Petřín Hill at roughly half an hour. Reviewers on GetYourGuide call it a little hike and a nice walk, and one added that they had walked up to Prague Castle earlier the same day. If your legs are tired, plan to pay for the lift at the tower.
