The cheapest of the STRAT SkyPod tickets is $26.95 for the observation deck, rated 4.5 from 1,740 reviews, which also makes it the most reviewed option. The tower is 1,149 feet (350 m) tall, according to Wikipedia, and the decks sit lower, around 261 m. The thrill rides start at $33.95, SkyJump is $144.99 and a private tour is $245. I’d go about an hour before sunset.

I checked all the STRAT SkyPod tickets that GetYourGuide sells for the tower, and there are four: a plain deck ticket, a ticket with thrill rides, a SkyJump and a private guided tour. Every one of the STRAT SkyPod tickets leads to the same 108th floor, so what changes is what you do once you are up there. The numbers below come from Wikipedia, Open-Meteo and Google Maps.
DeckStats shows the 350 m figure, which is the height of the whole tower. The visitor decks are lower, so the table adds the floors and the practical details.
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Floors | Indoor deck on the 108th floor, 855 feet (261 m); outdoor deck on the 109th, per Wikipedia |
| Open air or indoor | Both: the ticket description lists a climate-controlled indoor deck and an outdoor deck |
| Address | 2000 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89104 (per Google Maps) |
| Opening hours | 10 AM to 1 AM daily on the STRAT SkyPod listing (per Google Maps) |
| Time to allow | The standard ticket has no set duration; the private tour is listed at 2 hours |
At 1,149 ft (350 m), it is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States, and the second-tallest in the Western Hemisphere, surpassed only by the CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario.
People who search for the STRAT SkyPod observation deck tickets usually want the simple version: a ride up and a look around. That is the first of the STRAT SkyPod tickets on this page and the one I’d buy for a first visit. The STRAT Tower Observation Deck Ticket costs $26.95, is rated 4.5 from 1,740 reviews, and the operator is The STRAT itself.
The listing says the ticket gives access to both the indoor and the outdoor observation decks. The indoor deck is enclosed and climate-controlled, with floor-to-ceiling glass, and the outdoor deck gives open-air views. You can also use the viewfinders to zoom in on the city. The listing suggests going near sunset and staying for the lights. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before on all the STRAT SkyPod tickets.

Two reviewers describe the quiet side of the deck. One went later in the evening and found it relatively quiet, with a good view of Vegas from the top. Another praised the night views. That matches the sunset advice for the STRAT SkyPod tickets later on this page, since an evening slot gives you daylight and the lit-up city in one visit.
The STRAT Tower Thrill Rides Admission is the next rung up, at $33.95 and rated 4.05 from 513 reviews. It is only $7.00 more than the plain deck ticket, which makes it the cheapest way to add a ride to the STRAT SkyPod tickets. The inclusions list access to the SkyPod observation deck and a choice of one or two rides, depending on the ticket option you select.
The rides named in the inclusions are Big Shot and X-Scream. The description also mentions Insanity, but the inclusion list does not, so I wouldn’t assume it comes with this one of the STRAT SkyPod tickets. Check the option you are choosing on the booking page before you pay. Cancellation is a full refund up to 24 hours in advance.

The STRAT
My pick: Best if you want a ride and the view for the lowest extra cost: the deck is included and only $7.00 more than the standard ticket.

One reviewer said the weather showed signs of a storm on the day of their tickets, so the ride had to be shut. Staff offered a refund or entry the following day, and they chose the next day and loved the ride. That is a useful reminder that the rides, unlike the decks, depend on conditions. The rating is lower than the deck ticket’s, and I’d read that as a sign that some visitors expect more from a ride than a few seconds of drop.
The deck is in the pod at the top of the STRAT tower, at 2000 Las Vegas Blvd S, at the north end of the Strip (address per Google Maps). Per Wikipedia, the hotel and casino are at the base of the tower. The Fremont Street Experience is 2.8 km (1.8 mi) from the tower in a straight line, so downtown is close by.
The search behind this section named a different building in New York, so I’ve pointed it at the STRAT instead. The one product here that tells you where to meet is a private tour. The guide waits in front of the Chapel of the Bells, 2233 Las Vegas Blvd S, and the listing asks you not to go inside the chapel because its staff don’t know about the tour. The 2-hour walk then goes to the SkyPod with skip-the-line tickets, and the guide talks about the Strip and downtown.

Rosotravel - United States Tours & Experiences
My pick: A private guide for $245: skip-the-line entry and a 2-hour talk about the city. It has no reviews yet, so I can't rate it.
from
$245
The listing has no rating or review count, so I can’t compare it with the others. It costs $218.05 more than the cheapest of the STRAT SkyPod tickets. The price shown is the listing price; check on the booking page whether it covers your whole group. For one or two people who just want the view, I’d skip it and buy the standard one of the STRAT SkyPod tickets.
Wikipedia lists the tower at 1,149 feet (350 m), and calls it the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States. The 108th floor, where the indoor deck is, is at 855 feet (261 m), and the outdoor deck is one floor above it. Everything above that is the pod, the needle and the thrill rides.
The elevators are fast. Wikipedia says they travel at 1,800 feet per minute (9.1 m/s), and that the tower has 1,455 steps up to the 108th floor. The stairs are closed to the public apart from the Scale the Strat charity race. The tour listing gives the same height and says the deck is reached by one of the fastest elevators in the world.
Google Maps shows two different sets of opening hours for the deck, so I’d treat them as a guide. The STRAT SkyPod listing says 10 AM to 1 AM every day. The separate The STRAT Observation Deck listing says noon to 1 AM from Monday to Thursday and 10 AM to 1 AM from Friday to Sunday.
The later opening on weekdays would matter if you wanted a morning visit with the STRAT SkyPod tickets. If you do, the safe plan is to pick a time after noon, and I’d check the official STRAT website for the day. Rides may close in wind and storms, as one reviewer found, so a late-afternoon slot also leaves you room to move your plans if conditions change.
On GetYourGuide, the STRAT SkyPod tickets are rated 4.5 for the observation deck from 1,740 reviews, the thrill rides ticket 4.05 from 513 and the SkyJump 4.77 from 150. The Google Maps listing for the STRAT SkyPod shows 4.5 from 1,121 reviews, while the hotel and casino as a whole are at 4.0 from 64,399, so the tower scores better than the property around it.
Fantastic views at night i can thoroughly recommend
The pattern in the praise is the view at night, the quiet late slots and the helpful staff. The thrill rides get the more mixed score, and the complaints I can see in my data are about weather closures. I wouldn’t read the 4.05 as a verdict on the deck, since it is a different product.
The restaurant is called Top of the World. Per Wikipedia, it is a revolving restaurant on the 106th floor of the tower that takes about 80 minutes to complete a full rotation. That puts it below the decks, so you look out over the valley while you eat.
GetYourGuide doesn’t sell a table booking, so there is no card here, and I don’t have menu prices. None of the STRAT SkyPod tickets lists a meal, and all of them list food and drinks as not included. The reservation page on the official STRAT site is where to check availability and any dress code before you plan a dinner around the tower.
All four of the STRAT SkyPod tickets are priced in US dollars. The deck ticket is $26.95, the thrill rides are $33.95, the SkyJump is $144.99 and the private tour is $245. The last product in my list is the SkyJump, and I’ll be honest: it sits here because it was the one left after the others were placed, not because it is the cheapest.
The STRAT SkyJump Ticket is rated 4.77 from 150 reviews, the best score of the four. The description calls it a controlled free-fall descent on a vertical zip line from the 108th floor, at speeds topping 40 mph, from 829 feet up. You get a safety briefing and a jumpsuit first. The price includes taxes, fees and handling charges, and it does not include video or audio recording.

The STRAT
My pick: The big-ticket extra for people who want to jump, not just look. It is $118.04 more than the deck ticket, and video is not included.
from
$144.99
One reviewer called it expensive, especially with the 360 degree camera footage added. That tells me the video is an extra cost on top of this ticket. Use the calculator below to see what a group of any size pays for the STRAT SkyPod tickets on this page.
Calculator

Prices are the lowest per-person prices on GetYourGuide when I last checked; the final price depends on the date, time slot and age.
There are four rides at the top of the tower, per Wikipedia: Big Shot, X-Scream, Insanity and SkyJump. Big Shot opened with the resort in 1996 and travels up and down the needle, reaching 1,081 feet (329 m). X-Scream opened in 2003 and is at 866 feet (264 m).
What you get depends on which of the STRAT SkyPod tickets you pick. The thrill rides admission above includes the deck and a choice of one or two rides from Big Shot and X-Scream. The SkyJump ticket includes one jump and nothing else, so it does not list deck access. For the cheapest day, buy the deck ticket. To add a ride, pick the thrill rides admission. To jump, book the SkyJump separately.
I’d also consider the order. The viewing ticket is the safe part of the plan and the rides can be affected by wind, so I’d keep the rides for a calm day and treat the deck as the guaranteed part of the visit.
July has the clearest skies in Open-Meteo’s data for the year 2025, with 9 percent cloud cover and 13.6 hours of sunshine. October is also good at 13 percent, which suits today’s date. November is the cloudiest at 46 percent, with 6 rainy days, according to Open-Meteo.

Whichever of the STRAT SkyPod tickets you book, sunset ranges from 16:27 in December to 19:59 in June, and in October it is around 18:04. I’d arrive 45 to 60 minutes before sunset, which gives you daylight, the colours and then the lit Strip. Choose your date below to see the sunset and the entry time to book.

From the roughly 261 m level of the decks, the calculator below gives a horizon distance of around 58 km on a clear day. The Strip runs south in front of you, with the desert and mountains beyond it.

These are the places I’d look for, with their straight-line distances from the tower. The Fremont Street Experience is 2.8 km (1.8 mi) away and Sphere is 3.0 km (1.8 mi). The Neon Museum is 3.8 km (2.4 mi), the Las Vegas Strip as a whole is 3.9 km (2.4 mi) and the Fountains of Bellagio are 4.2 km (2.6 mi) away. The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is 7.4 km (4.6 mi) to the south. Red Rock Canyon is 25.8 km (16.0 mi) away, and Seven Magic Mountains is 35.8 km (22.2 mi), so those two are only worth looking for on a very clear day.

The STRAT is not the only high viewpoint in the city, and the STRAT SkyPod tickets are not the only way up. The High Roller is a wheel on the Strip, and I’ve written a separate guide to High Roller tickets if you prefer a moving cabin. The table covers the other decks in my Google Maps data.
| Deck | Google rating | Reviews | Distance from the STRAT | Free or paid |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| STRAT SkyPod | 4.5 | 1,121 | The tower itself | Paid, from $26.95 |
| Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck | 4.6 | 4,205 | 4.2 km (2.6 mi) | Check locally |
The Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck sits in the middle of the Strip, while the STRAT is at the quieter north end, so the two views face different directions. For a high view with a ride option on top, the STRAT SkyPod tickets are the ones to buy.
The STRAT SkyJump ticket on GetYourGuide is $144.99 for one jump, rated 4.77 from 150 reviews. It includes taxes, fees and handling charges, but not video or audio recording. That is $118.04 more than the $26.95 observation deck ticket, so book the SkyJump separately from your viewing plans and check the listing for the camera options.
No. The cheapest way up in my data is the $26.95 STRAT Tower Observation Deck Ticket, which covers the indoor and outdoor decks. Nothing in my sources says the deck is free for the public, so check the official STRAT site for any local or hotel-guest offers before you buy online.
The SkyPod is the top section of the STRAT tower in Las Vegas. According to Wikipedia, the tower is 1,149 feet (350 m) tall and has an indoor deck on the 108th floor, an outdoor deck on the 109th, a revolving restaurant, lounges and thrill rides. Its old name was the Stratosphere Tower.
For $26.95 I think it is, if you want a view of the Strip without a hotel booking. The standard ticket is rated 4.5 from 1,740 reviews. One reviewer said the late evening was relatively quiet and gave a good view. The deck sits at the north end of the Strip, so the main hotels line up in front of you.
You can book the STRAT SkyPod tickets on this page through GetYourGuide, where the $26.95 entry ticket is operated by The STRAT itself. Choose a date, pay online and cancel free up to 24 hours before. The thrill ride and SkyJump tickets are separate listings, so pick the one that matches what you want to do.
Google Maps lists the STRAT SkyPod as open 10 AM to 1 AM every day. A second Google Maps listing for the observation deck shows noon to 1 AM from Monday to Thursday and 10 AM to 1 AM on Friday to Sunday. Hours and ride closures change, so check the official STRAT site on the day.
Wikipedia gives the tower a height of 1,149 feet (350 m) and says the 108th floor rises 855 feet (261 m). The indoor deck is on that floor and stairs lead to the outdoor deck on the 109th. So the decks are roughly 261 m up, while the full tower, needle included, reaches 350 m.
